Pastor's Calvin and Alfreda Smith

P astor Calvin D. Smith received the teaching of “Sonship Ministry” at Refuge Church of Christ in Olney, MD, under the leadership of Bishop Rufus Settles. He was a member of the choir and participated in the outreach ministry. After becoming a member of Refuge Church of Christ, on August 6, 1983. He remained a faithful member of the church until 1987 when he joined Agape Reigns Fellowship Ministries in Calvert County, MD under the leadership of Pastors William and Delia Campbell. In December 1990, Calvin was ordained as a Deacon and fulfilled the duties of his position for over six years. He assisted Pastor Campbell in teaching the adult Sunday school class and in delivering the message during Sunday services. He also conducted weekly bible classes held at the Northeast Community Center in North Beach, MD. He accepted his calling as an Elder and was ordained in May 5, 1996. Pastor Smith has been a dedicated member of the praise team and has opened his home to weekly bible studies as a means of fellowship and outreach to the community. Pastor Smith was married to Delores Smith who departed this life June 22, 2003. Upon his marriage to Alfreda Heflin on February 28, 2004. Sister Alfreda Smith has been a continuous support to him. Sister Smith was raised in the church by her parents Pastors Dallas and Geraldine Williams. Her life was dedicated to the Lord at an early age. Sister Smith was a member of Evangel Cathedral in Upper Marlboro, MD under the leadership of Bishop Don Meares. Pastor Smith has three children and two grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. From the union with Sister Smith he has an additional four children and four grandchildren. Through his diligent walk in Christ, he has led many including family members to Christ who have become members of Agape Reigns Fellowship Church.





Evangelist "Mother" Gladys Jean Coates

Mother Gladys Jean Coates was born on July 18, 1936 and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1977. She attended several ministry assemblies her first few years of salvation before obtaining the full knowledge of Sonship. Her understanding of "Sonship" began under the teaching and preaching of Bishop Rufus Settles at Refuge Church of Christ in Olney, Md. Mother Coates was then led by God to begin a "Sonship Ministry" in Calvert County, MD; along with Bishop Settles and two other members. Whereby Pastor Campbell and other faithful saints were also led to establish Agape Reigns Fellowship Church. Mother Coates obeyed the call of God on her life and was ordained as an Evangelist on January 15, 1994 here where she is currently a member.
